Here’s a Little About Me

I’ve been married to my wife, Denise, for more than 25 years.

We’re both self-employed and love the income control and time flexibility our solopreneur lifestyle allows. (Denise is an amazing graphic designer for small businesses and nutritional health coach.)

We also have seven children. Homeschooling them since 2000 means we travel when we choose and enjoy experiences many families never get to experience.

I’m an Army infantry veteran and computer programmer turned internationally-recognized copywriter and copywriting instructor at American Writers & Artists.

While my first successful solopreneur business was as a writer, my passion is teaching and helping others start and grow their own businesses.

Today my vision is to help one million people from around the world start and grow their own successful businesses by 2030.

I’m fulfilling this dream now through my podcast, business community and personal coaching services. I’m also writing a 3-book series to help solopreneurs at every stage of business from idea formation through 7+ figures.

To help those less advantaged, I’ve created a team (please join us!) to support entrepreneurs around the world through Kiva.org microloans.

And because I enjoy the excitement of building new businesses that make a measurable impact in the world, I’ve also built a multi-platform ecommerce business and a national independent insurance agency (yes, still as a solopreneur).

Bonus: My passion for starting businesses helps me keep my finger on the pulse of lucrative and ethical business opportunities for new solopreneurs looking for ideas!
